Dashboard page searching

    I keep reading about people having issues on the front end, but I’ve been having an issue with the backend since sometime in version 3.

    Whenever I go to Pages and go to the upper right and type in a search term and click “search pages” I get posts instead of pages. It’s super annoying. Anyone have any idea of how to fix it. It’s obvious an update isn’t going to since I’ve had it since 3.5 or so.

    Pardon me, just to be sure. You’re having wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page shown in your URL bar, and when you click to search, what does it show in the URL bar, then ?

    In my case, I typed random stuff, it’s
    /wp-admin/edit.php?s=roasted+penguin+recipes&post_status=all&post_type=page&action=-1&m=0&paged=1&action2=-1

    For you too ? Or does it switch to post_type=post ?
