@mklus I haven’t been able to reproduce that error. Does it happen with the Gutenberg editor, Classic Editor, or something else?
Can an administrator still see the subpages?

Here is a short video thath shows the whole process to generate this error. It also shows the blank page which is generated if group has read permission for page limited to selected page and its subpages. This website is new, without any additional plugins besides publish press permissions and publish press capablities.

I was also able to replicate this issue on my end and it seems it is a bug from the plugin.
I have created both bug reports on their Github repository so they can investigate them further.
