Dashboard WordPress Blog RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: Resolve timeout

    I set up my first self-hosted installation of WP. All seems to work except that in the WordPress Blog widget the following is displayed:

    RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: Resolving timed out after 10000 milliseconds

    instead of the WP blog posts.

    All plugins are disabled and there’s no debug info logged.

    Any ideas?
