    Hi All-

I am experiencing the following while logged into WP-Admin for site:
Dashboard will not load periodically. Page is entirely white. I must hit back(several times) in order for page to load.
If I right click in “Visit Site” to open in new window page will open however, page is blank white.

I transferred this site from a previous developer.

I have been maintaining site for almost a year now. I am hosting on my c-panel.

I have tried several times to remove email address of previous administrator from settings and replace with my own email. I recently removed email address of previous developer yet again and suddenly site and admin were gone.

I have several websites that I host on my c-panel and I am not having any problems with those sites.

Could there be something placed by previous developer?
How can I permanently remove previous developers email and contact info for good?
Why is back-end not functioning correctly?

I need help. Thank you very much for your time and attention.

    Website is live.

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Once you’re in, we can figure out what to do about the other account.

Thank you! This worked! Here’s what I did.

Via FTP or your host’s file manager, navigate to the wp-contents folder (directory)
Via FTP or your host’s file manager, rename the folder “plugins” to “plugins.hold”
Login to your WordPress administration plugins page (/wp-admin/plugins.php) – this will disable any plugin that is “missing”.
Via FTP or your host’s file manager, rename “plugins.hold” back to “plugins”

Site functioning correctly with no issues.

Excellent, can you access the Users section of the blog’s Dashboard? If so, can you delete the other user?

If not, can you at least demote him to Subscriber, and then try deleting him?
