    Hi all,

My SiteKit has suddenly stopped working, and while I have tried a few general guidelines on sorting it out, I am stumped by the following errors:

    Data error in Analytics

    Invalid JSON responseRetry

    Retry didn’t work? Get help

I have tried troubleshooting mode, redoing the plugin setup, different themes and I have run a health check to no avail (only remaining on the check is cache performance and deactivating plugins).

My site has been running with the kit for a while (maybe a month, its a relatively new site) and I have had no issues up until recently; it has also been working just fine alongside other plugins (the few that I have) and I have not made significant changes in connection with the site kit failing.

Keen to hear suggestions or provide additional info as needed!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks for reaching out @akborum. If you’d like to share the following we can hopefully determine more on this and ensure the error no longer occurs:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. When checking the Site Kit dashboard from a Chrome browser incognito window does the same occur? If so, please share any browser console errors that appear.
    3. Do you see any warnings or errors when checking your Site Health status  (Tools > Site Health > Status), which differs from your Site Health information requested above? Such errors may include REST endpoint references.

Once we have the above we can advise on this further. Troubleshooting steps maybe including any caching plugin configurations as you stated above you have yet to test these.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

    Hi Adam,

    Cheers for picking this up!

    1. I have submitted the site health information via the form a moment ago
    2. I do get the same behaviour in incognito – Errors pasted below.
    3. None that I could see no.

@akborum Thanks for sharing the information that’s very helpful indeed. Could I check with you if you have tried a Site Kit reset? This differs from redoing the setup. If you run into the same or another issue when trying to set the plugin back up then please let me know and share any errors and console errors you see at the time.

I’d also suggest checking in with your hosting provider to ensure they don’t see any blocks on their side. If you continue to run into issues then I may require you to switch on debug logs and share these but first let me know how you get on with the above before we explore the logs.

Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime.

    Hey Adam,

I have just tried that, and this time I did get an error while installing, stating that my site was not ready for Site Kit, but it did provide a link to a workaround plugin which I installed, and lo and behold, its all working now!

I am not sure what has happened at the backend but as long as its working, im happy!

Cheers for guiding me in the right direction!

If you have a spare moment, please feel free to leave a review on the plugin as we’d love to hear your feedback!
