Hi @empresa87,
Thanks for contacting me here.
Right now, BD has a way to generate a unique ID on export. When you import records for the first time, you don’t need to worry about uniqueness then as you have no listings and we assume that your data is as a clean as you want it to be then.
We don’t have a way to change that unique ID to what you want, only our generated key unfortunately. But as long as you use that on export and want to do bulk edits and re-import, it should work just as good as your tax number (and avoid issues with privacy if that’s relevant)
I hope that helps.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or issues!
Hello and thanks for the reply,
The tax number for companies is public information, and essential to validate whether it is a real company or not. On a daily basis companies go out of business and I intend to do this daily work and remove closed companies. the information I have about them is the tax number, relate this reference to the website in some way and automatically disable them. That is why exporting and bulk edits and re-import is not the most efficient way to do it.
Is there a way to do this with custom programming by you or a programmer? Any direction is welcome.
thanks
Hi @empresa87,
Right now, BD doesn’t have a way to support that. Unfortunately, with our hefty feature list and our ongoing support work, we lack the bandwidth to do that kind of customization for sites. There are a few great resources to help you out here.
1) Tilden Tasks: https://tildentasks.com/ They will also do longer WordPress tasks, but they break it down to 1 task per day.
2) Codeable, which has WordPress expert developers available for short-term projects: https://codeable.io/
They may be able to help if this isn’t something you’re willing to tackle on your own. But if you make custom changes to the plugin, you’ll have to be careful on upgrades because those changes will be lost when you update from us in the future.
