After updating the New User Approve plugin to version 3.0.0 or higher, I encountered an issue where user data does not load properly. The same setup works correctly with all plugin versions below 3.0.0.

When trying to open plugin, the following API request returns a 403 Forbidden error:
    GET /wp-json/wp/v2/users/me?context=edit&_locale=user
    Status Code: 403 Forbidden
    Referrer Policy: strict-origin-when-cross-origin
    Remote Address: [::1]:8080

    I am using bedrock setup.

Any idea what can be the cause?

    Hi @mark9184,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The issue you experienced, where user data did not load properly and returned a 403 Forbidden error, has been fixed in the latest release of the New User Approve plugin.

Please update the plugin to the most recent version from the WordPress Dashboard or here are a few troubleshooting steps that may help resolve the issue right away:

    1. Uninstall and delete the current version of the plugin from your website.
    2. Reinstall the latest version of the plugin directly from ww.wp.xz.cn: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/new-user-approve/.
    3. Clear all caches, including any server-side, plugin, or browser caches

Once you have done this, Open your website on a different browser to verify the issue.

Please let us know if you still face any problems after updating.

    Thanks & regards,
    WP Experts Support Team

Hi, thanks for your reply. I followed the steps you outlined, but unfortunately, this didn’t help. I also tried it on my local environment, and experienced the same issue. My setup uses Composer on Bedrock, which I don’t think is the problem.

Any idea what can be cause?
