Hi Meitar, got another question for you, it’s about security issue.

We know that all the information from google spreadsheet is embedded to our page using the gdoc shortcode. I’m wondering if your plugin has any security or data encryption method (say, we are embedding an important personal sheet) ?

Is the data ever stored on our own server ? or is it always from the gdocs shortcode ? Would it be safer if I set the attribute “use_cache” to “no” ?

    Thanks, waiting for your reply.

This plugin only supports public Google Spreadsheets. Like it says as part of the plugin description:

If using a Google Spreadsheet, the spreadsheet must be shared using either the “Public on the web” or “Anyone with the link” options (learn how to share your spreadsheet). Currently, private Google Spreadsheets or Spreadsheets shared with “Specific people” are not supported.

Obviously, don’t put private information in public Google Sheets.
