    Hi,

The Format field is showing Read Meeting format button even though the first row does not have any value. The button has the link to the page itself.

Is there a way to no insert link button to empty cell on the columm designated as URL link?

    Please advise.

    Thanks,

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,
i am sorry but it seems i am not fully understanding your goal.
If you wish to have completely blank cells in a URL type column in a table,
and you do not wish it to look as a button,
you can simply disable ‘Show link as a button’ in the “Data tab” of this column settings,
and it will then just render empty cells, if they are blank.

But maybe I did not understand what you need,
if you need the opposite – to have a button text appear, even when there is blank cells,
you can enable ‘Show link as a button’ ,
and input any button display text in the ‘Button text’.

Let us know if that is what you needed.
If it is something else, can you please elaborate in more details?
    Thank you

Hi, I meant that when a cell is empty on the column set fr URL button, it should leave it empty. At this time the Saturday List Format column shows button on every cell even though the first row on the format cell is empty, and the button points to the page itself as there is no URL set for the button.

Hope this makes sense. Let me know..

    Thanks.

    Hello,
    that is strange.
If the data linked to the table contains empty cells,
even if you set “show as a button”,
still those cells should render as blank/empty in the table.

We are not able to replicate this issue on our Testing sites.
    Here are screenshots of our Excel spreadsheet, that has two first cells blank;

    and also you can see how we set the URL column, to show links as buttons, along with button text; ( if we don’t set button text, it it the same result);

and also an image how the table looks ( showing the two empty cells)

URL link “show as button”, two blank cells

Could you please send us your file that has the source data for the table?
If it does not contain any sensitive information.
Then we can investigate the source data, and try to reproduce the same issue on our end.
    Thank you

    Hi,

Your example is what I expected..

Here is a link to my excel file:
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1YH6jgZlt5N8oUQOYGCEOufm1eJdd3q7z/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=105850989537355781805&rtpof=true&sd=true

Here is the link to the wp-tables front end, visit the Saturday meeting calendar to see the result we get.
    https://staging.shareselfhelp.org/calendar-all-meetings/

The Zoom link and Format field has the first row without any value, hence I expected not to see a button.

Let me know what you find.

    Thanks.

    Hi, toophat
Thank you for the access to the source file.
We have tried to reproduce the issue on our Test site,
and we created a table linked to the Excel file, after we downloaded a copy,
but we are unable to reproduce this.
On our table, we can see the blank cells as they should be.

We would like to help you in more details, but for that you will have to open a ticket on our Support platform on this page https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/
Can you please open a ticket there, and just refer to our correspondence here?
Then our Agents will proceed with the troubleshooting there.
    Thank you

    Hi,

I can still use some help, however on the ticket system it is asking for a purchase license which I do not have as we are using the free version.

Looks like after I updated the plugin version to 2.1.43, I am now seeing url buttons behaving as expected.

    Thanks for fixing this.

    Hello again,
apologies for the late reply, we did not see that you were unable to open a ticket on our support platform right away.
Basically, you can open a ticket in the “Pre-Purchase” section, or simply
    click on this link
, that way it will not ask you for the Premium code and our Agents can try to help you out.
But we can see that the latest update has resolved this issue for you, very happy to see that.
Don’t hesitate to open a new Post if you have any other questions.
    Kind regards.
