Hi, I have just updated to WC Vendors Marketplace v2.0.10.

On updating I am continuously getting the message saying:
WC Vendors data update – Your database is being updated in the background. Taking a while? Click here to run it now.

No matter how many times I click on it, the DB doesnt get refreshed. None of the settings and configurations from the previous version of the plugin have come through.

Could you please help resolve? Even if it is a manual solution? I am happy to update the settings/config manually from the previous version of the plugin – but just wondering if there are any other structural changes to the DB that will cause the integrity of my website to be compromised.

    Thanks a lot.
    Ash

  • Hello,

What version did you update from? If you’ve only updated from 2.x and not the 1.9 branch then all settings are already updated. The notice shows when a specific database value in wp_options isn’t updated for some reason. You will need to manually add or update the wcvendors_db_version to the current version 2.0.10 to help the message remove itself.

    cheers,

    Jamie.

    Hi Jamie,
I updated from 1.9. I have updated my settings manually. I havent been able to find the wcvendors_db_version value in the wp_options table.
Just wondering if there was any other database structures that changed from 1.9 to 2.0 which will cause issues on my website before I push to Live.

    Hello,

If the entry doesn’t exist then you can create it and with the value, that should fix the update notice.

The database didn’t change but all the settings have been migrated into a completely new setting system, so it is advisable to check all your settings to make sure they have migrated and update anything that hasn’t.

    cheers,

    Jamie.
