Database crashed?

Hi,

I ran WP-Optimize on a local WordPress installation and then got an “Error establishing a database connection”message.

WordPress tried to help me out by offering to repair the database, and I did try that. After clicking the WordPress repair button, I was given the following error with instructions to post on this forum for assistance. The error was:

wp_users: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
wp_usermeta: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
wp_posts: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
wp_options: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
wp_postmeta: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
wp_terms: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
wp_term_taxonomy: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
wp_term_relationships: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed

I do have access to the tables via PHPMyAdmin, but I do not know where to start to make fixes, or even if a fix is possible.

Can anyone lend any insight to how to repair the DB tables?
