    Query Monitor is reporting a database error after the activation of the update to version 3. In case it matters, I am running PHP7.

    Hi there,

    What database type are you using?

    I’ve never seen SQL fail at the IF command before, its a pretty standard defacto command.

    I’m using mySQL on localhost Linux Mint 17.3. Apparently, it’s version 5.5.49-0ubuntu0.14.04.1

    Hi there,

    Does this mean you were not able to install and activate the plugin and have it working correctly?

    You mentioned Query Monitor, what is that exactly? I can’t imagine IF being an issue as as far as I’m aware its standard SQL.

    The plugin seems to be working OK, though loading the admin pages (which is where the problem is manifesting) is very slow.

    As for Query Monitor, your life as a developer is about to get a lot easier! It’s a plugin (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/query-monitor/) made a former lead WP developer and it’s far more helpful than simply turning on debug.

    I’ve now tried installing v.3.0.1 on a test site with my host (also running PHP7), and QM reports the same database error. So I don’t think it’s just something at my end.

    Nope don’t worry I’ve fixed it for the 3.0.2 release so when thats out all should be sorted.

    Once it’s out if you could confirm that would be great (should be some time tonight).

    Hey,

    I have update the beta version which can be found on the Developer tab on this page if you want to check out if its fixed in advance.

    I have a couple more issues to fix before releasing the updated version so its likely to be tommorrow that it will be released.
