Database error every once in a while

    Hi!

    I’m having a problem with my page going down several times a day. It either loads forever, or show the “error establishing database connection”. It will stay like this for a couple of minutes, and then the site works just fine again right after. This happens a couple of times a day. Very annoying.

    All plugins and WordPress itself are updated. I’ve also tried optimizing the database from both phpmyadmin and the Wp-optimize plugin.

    Any idea what might cause this? A bad plugin? Very hard to find out what might be causing the problem since the site is only down once in a while, a couple of minutes each time…

    Intermittent “error establishing database connection” errors are 95% a web host problem. Their database server is dropping out from time to time.

    Who is your webhost? Have you asked them about the errors?
