Database integrity is of the utmost importance to our archive.

That was and is my ultimate concern in programming!

You can run VIII-A6, it will probably not fix anything but may produce helpful errormessages.

There is a site ( not published yet ) with over 107.000 photos in 460 albums without any db integrety problems, so wppa+ should easily be capable of handling this.

Are you using hierarchic album display in selection boxes ( Table IX-A12 ) ? If so, you could easily have made an error in selecting the album.

Try the search widget to find the missing photos ( if you know the name(s) )

Hierarchic album display (Table IX-A12) is NOT checked.

Search photos (WPPA widget) did not find the photos.

I’ll run VIII-A6 tonight (AFTER performing a database backup) and let you know the results.

    Thank you!

I ran the Cleanup but there were no errors and there were no indications that anything happened. Ran the Cleanup and answered am I sure?

It seems that the missing photos are from sub-albums.

Search widget yielded no results – the photos are gone.

I am re-uploading the missing photos and will begin auditing the other albums and especially the sub-albums.

The audit process will be fairly straight forward.

I will backup the current WPPA folder under Uploads. Then I will compare the photos in this folder with other recent backups.

I will also spot-check the Photo albums to see if there are any more “cross-linked” photos (photos attached to the wrong captions).

    Wish me luck 🙂 !

Here is a very useful link for you:

    http://tibesar.com/photo-albums/?locale=en_US&wppa-lasten=50&wppa-cover=0&wppa-occur=1

It shows you the 50 most recently added photos, most recent first, together with the names and album names.

Yes Opajaap, the link is very useful thank you!

We have completed our audit and no photos are missing.

Your conclusion that there is nothing wrong with our site is correct.

I am still confused as to why my computer at work displayed incorrect photos while displaying correct captions. This was an unnerving experience for sure!

Perhaps the web hosting company’s web server was not communicating properly with the mySql server????????????

This experience has been a good lesson for me – I MUST do more frequent backups!

Your assistance as always is superb and, we appreciate your personal attention to our perceived problem.
