• I was in the middle of editing a new post, and when I tried to save a draft, I got a message telling me that some databases were missing and that I need to repair them. I tried the WP repair function link that was provided and it finished with the errors it could not fix, and recommended posting them here:

wp_comments: 1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly
wp_options: Table is marked as crashed
wp_postmeta: 13 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly

My website is down http://spfinsurance.com and says there are database connection problems.
    Help!

  • You may physically check the tables by going to your phpMyAdmin (login to your hosting account). If the tables are empty, it shows that your database is permanently damaged. You may need to restore from a recent backup. If you do not have one, your host will be able to provide a recent backup.
