"Database Server return empty/wrong data"

I’ve been using PressBackup for about a month, and love it. It’s been running smoothly, until today. When I go to manually make a backup (necessary because I need to make some changes to the site), it gives an error, “Database Server return empty/wrong data.” I’ve no idea what’s gone wrong and can’t find an answer anywhere. The site is running fine. How can I get PressBackup running again?
