Hi @geoto
Does the plugin push datalayer to Google Tag Manager, if so, is it possible to use the datalayer variables.
We have a marketplace extension Datalayer for WooCommerce that does just that. It offers the option to choose between DataLayer for WooCommerce Enhanced Ecommerce and DataLayer for WooCommerce Ecommerce GA4 depending on whether you use only Google Analytics 4 or you use Google Analytics UA with Google Analytics 4 tags as a complement to UA.
You can also take a look at the Google Tag Manager for WooCommerce PRO extension: https://woocommerce.com/products/google-tag-manager-for-woocommerce-pro/
* For any questions related to these extensions, you can create a ticket here. You’d need to log into your WooCommerce account before you can access that page, or create an account if you do not have one. From there, click on the tab “I have a question about a specific extension or theme I’d like to purchase.” Just so you know, in the WooCommerce.com marketplace we offer a 30-day refund policy so you can test the extension and make sure it works for you.
I am struggling with tracking my purchases through GTM because the custom event says it is supposed to be gtm.load. Does google tag manager for WordPress enter the data layer itself or should we enter it to the website?
@petro22
You should name your custom event and push the datalayer yourself.
I am sorry, I know this is going to sound dum. Do I change it through Google Tag Manager or WordPress with java script?
Thank you, I will ask my developer to add it for me.
Hi @petro22
I will ask my developer to add it for me
Hopefully, that will resolve the issue.
