Hey there,
Thanks for the details.
When you say “renewed SSL,” that usually refers to the site’s HTTPS certificate. The certificate itself wouldn’t change a wpDataTables layout, but after an SSL/HTTPS change it’s common that a cache, CDN, security, or optimization setting starts blocking or altering the CSS/JS files that wpDataTables needs — which results in the filters/pagination looking “jumbled” like on your page.
wpDataTables is a WYSIWYG plugin, so the table should look the same in the backend preview and on the front-end.
Could you please confirm:
- Does the table look normal in the wpDataTables backend preview, and only broken on the front-end?
If yes, please try this quick isolation test:
- Temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme (e.g., Twenty Twenty-Four) and re-check the page.
- If it persists, deactivate all other plugins except wpDataTables and re-check.
- Then re-enable plugins one by one until the issue returns — this will identify the conflict.
Also, if you’re using any optimization/security plugin, please disable minification/combining options (especially “Minify/Combine JS/CSS” or “Delay/Defer JS”) and clear all cache, then test again.
Please let us know if this helps you isolate the conflict.
If you’re still unable to identify the cause, we can see that you’re using advanced column filtering, which means you’re running the premium version of wpDataTables.
