ok, so your image clearly shows that you did not put the post-date.php file into a “templates” folder.
You MUST create a templates folder in your child theme. Then place that file into the templates folder.
Right now you have this:
virtue_child/post-date.php
It MUST be this:
virtue_child/templates/post-date.php
Make sense?
Ben
templates / post-date.php VIRTUE no main theme
I’m sorry I don’t know what that means?
Hello, I did it like you told me,
I got the transaction back.
Hey,
I am not what you are saying. The statement doesn’t make any sense?
What “transaction” are you referring to?
Let me see if I can make this as clear as possible.
Your child theme which should have three files and one folder inside should look like this:
virtue_child/style.css
virtue_child/functions.php
virtue_child/templates/post-date.php
You have to do this outside of wordpress editor. You can’t make changes like this and create files in the wordpress editor.
PLease look at your screenshot… View the top of the image. It shows that you have somehow created:
virtue_child/templates/post-date.php/post-date.php
Which of course would not work. You can’t make a folder called “post-date.php”.
Can you confirm you are reading my posts? You can’t do this in the wordpress editor.
Hi, I’m reading your messages, I’ve done this in the ftp program.
But I do not know where I’m making mistakes.
Ok, Here I just made it for you, save us all some time:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/ktupdates/importer/virtue_child_mustafa.zip
Step 1: Download ^ that file.
Step 2: In your site activate the parent theme and REMOVE your child theme
Step 3: Use “add new” in your admin themes and install the above theme then activate it.
Ben
Hi, now that it has improved, thank you very much.
