The date-column of an uploaded Excel table shows as YYYY-MM-DD HH-MM-SS in TablePress.
Because TablePress is able to recognise that the number in these cell should indeed be read in date/time format, I felt there must be a way of changing the way TablePress presents it. But I cannot find out how.

I realise I could enter it into the original Excel file in text format; but wouldn’t that make it impossible to sort in a time series?

I have checked the FAQs reasonably thoroughly but could not find an answer

    Many thanks

    Bill

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

TablePress doesn’t actually recognize this as a date format. It just imports it like that from the Excel file, as text.
I’m not aware of a method to have the JavaScript functions sort a combined date/time strings – but only pure dates.

    Regards,
    Tobias
