    Hello,

This is a pre-sales question as I am demoing the free version. Is there a way to globally change the date format? In the US, we are used to seeing mm/dd/yyyy as opposed to the default dd/mm/yyyy. I see some templates that have code built around modifying this, but they look very targeted to a specific thing, and I only want to change it once.

Sorry if I missed something obvious.

Thanks much and great looking plugin!

    John

    Hello John,

Thanks for your message. There is no need to touch any template to define a different date format or a different currency. If you look at the demo website, or if you try to install Vik Booking on any WordPress website, you will find all those settings in the Configuration page. The demo website does not allow to make changes to the default configuration settings, but of course you can choose your preferred date format for your website, and even the dates separator character, which is a forward slash by default.

You are free to choose the classic m/d/Y format or even the military format Y-m-d by setting the dash as the separator character.

Please notice that most configuration settings are stored in the PHP Session to speed up the loading process (they are like cached), and so you may need to hit the “Renew Session” button in the Configuration page after saving the changes to immediately see the new settings applied, or you should test the results with a new incognito/private session of your browser.

    We hope this helps!

Thanks much, I missed this or overlooked it possibly b/c it is titled Check-in/out Date Format, rather than global date format or something similar.
