Date Modified displayed on Pages

I’m trying to display the date each page was modified on each page. I’ve found how to do that on posts (http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Template_Tags/the_modified_date) but it doesn’t seem to work on pages. Does anyone know how I can display that on a page?
