Date Picker

I’ve added the Date field to a smart form and it works like it should, when I click in the field the calendar pops open and I can select a date. I’ve also added a default date “today” so the field is auto populated. The problem I’m getting is a calendar is displaying at the bottom of the page. The calendar at the bottom will go away once I click the date field and select a date but for most instances the user doesn’t have to select the date field. I’ve tried to delete the Date field and add a new one to the smart form but no luck, I’ve updated the smart forms version to 2.3.22 and no luck. Any suggestions would be great.
