• Great plugin! I use it on nearly all my websites!

I’d like to be able to add a date range to my slides so that they only display at certain times. For example:

    • Start on: Dec 12; End on: Dec 31; slide name: holly.jpg
would display that slide during those dates. The absence of a year specification would make it display every year.
    • Start on: Dec 26; End on: Jan 1; slide name: happynewyear.jpg
would again display between those dates but would know that the end date is in the following year.
    • Month name only: display during that month.
    • Start on and End on both blank: (default) always display.
    • Only one specified: display only on that day.

I have PHP code which will scan a folder containing either slides or date-named folders and feed a list of slide names to jQuery Cycle (in a Drupal site) but am at a loss as to how to add this functionality to your plugin myself.
This could be useful not only for seasonal decorations but for timed announcements like dues renewal, system maintenance and more.
