Date sorting (yes again)

    Hi Tobias 🙂
    I hope you are having a nice friday 🙂
    I have a date-sorting question for you. I have a table (see https://www.hafdal.dk/legstadaleit/index.php/2019/02/13/kalastadir/ – scroll down to “Manntöl” and choose “Manntal 1801” to see the table example).
    The two columns on far right contain dates and years and are formatted as “yyyy” or “dd/mm/yyyy”. I have added "columnDefs": [ { "type": "date-eu", "targets": [ 6,7 ] } ] to custom commands but apparently since the dates are mixed as years and exact dates the column do not sort correctly. Is it possible to fix this?

    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    The cause is indeed that the date formats are mixed, and that some cells are empty. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to directly fix this, but you could try a workaround using hidden columns, into which you enter a full date for each row (which is then used for sorting).
