Dates Posting Twice

Hi,

For my blog entries, the dates are posting twice, but not for all posts. It looks like it’s posting the date the blog first appeared and the latest date it was updated (like if I tweaked postings after they first appeared). I like having the date the posting was first published, but not the update dates. How do I get rid of the second posted date?
