Dates? What Dates?

    Hi guys,

    Just been using the rich snippets testing tool on a few of my pages (for the first time in a few months), and from having a perfect score a few months ago, there are now many errors.

    The big thing is the ‘date’ field that now shows errors in Review schema, and in Article schema – I don’t know if this is a new field in Google but there were no errors before.

    Anyway, onto the point of my topic – where do you add the Date field in Reviews and Article schema?

    Quick update on the Review Schema:

    Warning messages

    reviewRating
    The property reviewRating is not recognized by Google for an object of type Person.

    itemReviewed
    The property reviewRating is not recognized by Google for an object of type Person.

    Error message

    itemReviewed
    A value for the itemReviewed field is required.

    And on the Article schema:

    Error message

    datePublished
    A value for the datePublished field is required

    …and also a warning message in the Service schema:

    priceRange
    The priceRange field is recommended. Please provide a value if available.

    Google has updated the schema markup field requirements for schema; that’s why you are seeing warning or error for schema markup. We are following the changes carefully, and we are working on this new schema update.

    Thanks for the update!

    I’ve deactivated the plugin for now, and am using the Yoast schema thing which is not giving errors (probably because they have hardly got any schema options and no interface) but I’ll keep a look-out for the update.

    When it IS updated, does that mean I’ll need to go through all my structured data post by post?

    When the update is released with new field then you have to updated it manually on each post like you are setting it previously.

    We will release with improvement soon.
