db transfer

    just transferred my saved db to clean install wordpress and I have a problem now, when I do a search for a ‘custom post type movie’ with first letter used to work but now doesn’t. ??? says cant find any but they are all there.

    help please

    Does your new WP site have that custom post type defined? “movie” would be defined by a plugin or theme.

    Please provide a link to a page on your site where we can see this. Thanks.

    hi steve,
    the custom post type ‘movie’ is defined in the functions.php
    p.s. it is just installed locally at the moment.

    I’m pretty sure the default search requires more than the first letter. You might try one of the better search plugins like “releavanssi” or “search everything”
