Sometime within last two weeks both Firefox and Chrome started to block DCL OnClick load. Disqus loads when OnClick is disabled so not sure what is causing this issue? For Discqus OnClick to load, users must currently manually disable blocking of insecure content within Firefox and Chrome address bar which isn’t very user friendly. Is this something that can be fixed? We use WordPress HTTPS plugin for SSL.

Sure, please have a look at the link below. DCL OnClick is activated and we haven’t made any changes to the site so I’m wondering if this could be related to a recent plugin update?

Ok. Can you make a bit modification in the code?

Open dcl-functions.php using text editor. Go to line 66 (Example here).
Replace "'.$base.'" with "//"

Then try again. If you are not sure about how to edit, create a test admin account and share with me. I can do that for you. Use support page in our plugin website.

Thank you, that solved it! Will this be in subsequent plugin updates or does this edit need to be done manually after future updates?
