  • Hi,

Deactivation of the user is not possible with the plugin but we have a user moderation addon that will allow you to reject any new user which will not allow users to log in until you accept. Addon link: https://userswp.io/downloads/moderate-user-registration/

Thanks for your answer, but I need a possibility to deactivate existing members, so they can’t login any more.
Is it possible to create a new user role, that have no (login) rights?

    Hi,

You might look for such a plugin that can provide the functionality to block users from the site or deactivate from the site and let us know if it works with UsersWP or not.

    Hi,

    I actually found one: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/disable-users/
    It’s old, but it works.
The only Problem is, that if the user is disabled, and he tries to login from the frontend, it will redirect him to wp-admin. But I don’t want that. He should remain to the login page.

    Hi,

We will check with this plugin and update you or you can try another plugin that works.

This is unfortunately the only plugin I found.

Isn’t it possible for usersWP, to refuse login if user has no role? This should be the quickest and simplest solution.

    Hi,

I see another couple of plugins to do that:

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/user-blocker/
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/disable-user-login/

Also, if the problem with the plugin you tested is where it redirects after trying to log in, that is a support question for the author of the “disable users” plugin, cause in that case that’s its normal behavior.

    Thanks,

Ok, thanks. But what’s with my other question:

Isn’t it possible for usersWP, to refuse login if user has no role? This should be the quickest and simplest solution.

UsersWP uses the same functions as WP to manage login and user registration.

If you assign “No Role for This Site”, WP will let the user login and show them an error message: “You don’t have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

It will not limit their login.

    Thanks.
