When I deactivate the plugin, the site crashes with “There Has Been a Critical Error on Your Website”.

Ii don’t have access to the debug.log or wp-config.php of the site in question, only theme and plugin files.

So I don’t know how I can trace the problem.

    Being silly.
Plugin “WP Debugging” led me to understand that the problem was my code calling a non-existent taxonomy. Non-existent because I forgot this plugin registered taxonomies as well as post types!

    Solved.

Good to hear you got it figured out, especially without the log/wp-config access.
