do I really have to edit every single post and page manually
Yes. The plugin doesn’t add the shortcode; it just parses the shortcode. You added the shortcode, so you have to remove them.
If you are handy with MySQL queries, you could remove them from the database directly with a single query, however.
Wait, what? I didnt add any shortcode. The plugin does automatically? If I knew, I would never have installed it.
And I have no clue what to type in mysql so this is major problem for me.

This plugin does not add any shortcode or other string to your content. The display of the button is done through hook only.
@alimir do you have any idea at all why deactivating the plugin leaves a [wp_ulike] shortcode in all posts? I have not added the shortcode manually.
I can’t even remove it by editing the article because it doesn’t show in edit mode, only in normal view.

@alimir I think maybe this thread I started before might be a clue but I still can’t solve it.

*Edit: went through all files and found nothing related to ulike or ‘review’.

Stupid me. I have added the shortcode to a posts widget. Sorry for wasting your time :/
