Deactivating Replacing Premium Slider

I’ve been running Premium Slider 1.0.9 on my website for several years and just this weekend, started having issues with it. It’s spitting off the following error message:

Notice: Use of undefined constant premium_slider_trans – assumed ‘premium_slider_trans’ in /hermes/waloraweb062/b530/moo.zahler/Lentine_Alexis/wp-content/plugins/premium-slider/admin.php on line 717

I have no idea what this means, but it strikes me that I’ll need to replace it with a different slider plugin.

How do I replace the plug in? What does the error mean?
