Plugin Support

Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out.
It sounds like you’re experiencing an issue where the Elementor editor is no longer loading for posts and pages, and the plugin appears inactive—yet cannot be deactivated. This usually indicates a possible conflict or corruption with the plugin files or a deeper issue within the WordPress environment.
Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check for Multiple Elementor Installations:
Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and make sure you don’t have multiple versions of Elementor (e.g., from the WordPress repository and manually uploaded). If so, delete any duplicates.
- Verify File Integrity:
Elementor might be listed as inactive due to missing or corrupted files. You can try the following:
- Using FTP or your hosting file manager, delete the
/wp-content/plugins/elementor/ directory.
- Then reinstall the latest version of Elementor directly from the WordPress plugin repository.
- Check PHP Version and Server Requirements:
Make sure your server is running a supported version of PHP (8.0 or higher is recommended) and meets Elementor’s system requirements.
- Conflict Test:
Temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-Four) and deactivate all other plugins (if possible) to see if the issue resolves. If it does, re-enable them one by one to find the source of the conflict.
- Review Console Errors:
Open your browser’s developer tools (F12) and check the Console tab when trying to edit a page with Elementor. Any red errors there might help pinpoint the problem.
If none of the above steps help, please let me know and share your site’s PHP version, WordPress version, and whether you’re using any security or optimization plugins that might interfere with Elementor.
Also you will need to check is there some third party plugin conflicts, To rule out the possibility of a plugin or theme conflict, please deactivate all your plugins (besides Elementor and Elementor Pro) and then update to the newest version If it solves the issue reactivate them one by one to find the culprit. If it didn’t help, switch your theme (temporarily) to a default WP theme such as Twenty Nineteen and see if it makes any difference.
Looking forward to your response so we can get this sorted quickly.
Best regards,
