Dealing with 404 Errors

    Occasionally, I get notice of 404 Errors on my Google Webmaster Tools, but I don’t how to fix them. (Obviously, if I can find the link that went wrong I can correct it, but I’m referring to those weird 404 errors that don’t seem to make any sense).

    I assume that there are plugins for this, but when I search for plugins, they all appear old or badly maintained. Can you direct me to a plugin that will help fix 404 errors, please?
