Hello @dazphil ,
Please upload the backup file manually to the destination site, and then run Restore. You can manage all of this from the plugin section “Manage & Restore Backups”.
Kind regards
Yes that worked thank you so why did i need to do that?
Also, what can I safely delete from the backup folder to logs and so on? Is there anything in. there that I need to keep?
Thanks, darren.

Hi @dazphil
Thank you for confirmation.
In your case there is high chance that your backup was protected by WordFence (you can confirm that by accessing the backup URL directly in incognito or while logged out).
Because of that our plugin couldn’t download the file and process with restoration 🙂
yes that sounds right. So I guess I should I disable Wordfence before doing any backup? Wordfence also throws up a critical issue which i assume I should just disgard? ‘File appears to be malicious or unsafe: wp-content/backup-migration-QOSlkb1D53/backups/latest_progress.log’

Hi @dazphil
These files including the file WordFence indicates are already protected by our plugin but external access is required in order for our plugin to work properly during migrations.
You can disable temporarily WordFence which should do the trick during migrations and backups.
Let me know if you need further help 🙂
Thank you!
great thanks for all your excellent help.
