Debug unexpected token (Additional)

    New information has been brought to my attention regarding the error message “SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0”, as initially reported here. We did not have guest checkout enabled, thinking that users would able to create an account during checkout. This does not seem to be the case… Currently, if I checkout and opt NOT to create an account, the transaction succeeds. HOWEVER, if I repeat the transaction (as a new user) and opt to create an account, the transaction fails and I receive the error stated above. Is there anything I can do to remedy this?

    EVEN FURTHER INFORMATION:

    After doing the ‘disable-plugins dance’, we’ve determined that the “Simple Google reCAPTCHA” plugin we were using is interfering with the account creation as disabling that plugin allowed a transaction to succeed.
