Decrease white space on top of the page

    Hi all.
    1. Is it possible to decrease the space in between the masthead and the headline of a post. I’d like posts always to show on first scroll.
    2. Is it possible to have the top widget open by default?

    If so, adding this CSS to your custom CSS plugin or child theme will reduce that space:

    .site-content .hentry {
     padding: 10px 0 0 0;
}

    2. Is it possible to have the top widget open by default?

    No, not easily. The theme is designed to have the widget area tucked away and hidden until you click to activate the panel.
