default categories recreated

    Hi, Why if I modify or delete the default categories of gd_place and try to add dummy data, are the deleted default categories recreated?

    Hello,

    The dummy categories check if the Name exists first, if you have changed the name then it will re-create it for the dummy posts.

    Thanks for reply. So what is the solution: don’t use dummy content? But then how do I set my layout without content? Do I have to create them manually? It doesn’t seem very practical to me. Is there a php snippet to solve this problem?

    Dummy data is really just supposed to let you see the product and layouts, once you are happy you can delete the dummy data and start inserting your real data, at that point there is no issues. (unless i am missunderstanding what you are saying?)

    The problem is that I only need 4 categories and each time it automatically creates all the default ones (which I don’t need)

    ps: Even if I buy custom post do I have the same problem?

    This only happens when you insert dummy data, which you should only have to do once. I’m not sure am am understanding the issue? Are you inserting dummy data multiple times, if so why? That may help me understand the issue.
