Hello @ocean7,
Sorry about the delayed response.
Let me get back to you in about a day as I already wrote an extension that would add an input field below the book cover area where you could add a URL that the plugin would use as the book cover. I just need to integrate it and push it in a new version upgrade.

Hello,
To make this new metafield be visible on the frontend, go the plugin’s “Template” tab on the settings page, then make sure you new metafield is in list of the “Book Detail Items” section.
Hello again @ocean7
Can you take a look at this plugin? Just download, install and activate it, then enable the extension on the Recencio extensions page.
When editing or creating reviews you should now have a new metabox that takes the URL of an image and uses it as the book’s cover image.

hello @w33zy
I tested your extension, it works on the single page review and the archive page.
But, there’s an error on the sidebar section, for example (i have 3 book review, 1 is t the first, and 3 the most recently)
So, when i use the external book covers on book 3 review, and then viewing it on single page of book 3 review, the external image of book 3 review showing on the sidebar.
But, when i viewing book 2 review or book 1 review, the external image of book 3 review doesn’t show up on the sidebar.
Hello again,
I fixed this bug so you can replace your copy of the extension with the updated copy here https://gitlab.com/w33zy/rcno-external-book-covers
