    Hello,

I’ve noticed an issue with the default WordPress post save notification when using the PublishPress Capabilities plugin.

Normally, after saving or updating a post, WordPress shows a small “Post is saved” (or “Post updated”) notification at the top of the editor. However, with PublishPress Capabilities active, this notification only appears for a fraction of a second (a few milliseconds) and then disappears immediately.

Without the plugin enabled, the notification stays visible as expected.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Activate PublishPress Capabilities.
    2. Edit or create a new post.
    3. Save/Update the post.
    4. Observe that the “Post is saved” notice flashes briefly and then is removed.

    Environment details:

    • WordPress version: Latest version 6.8.2
    • PublishPress Capabilities version: 2.20.0

    Expected behavior:
The “Post is saved” notification should remain visible until the user dismisses it or navigates away, just like in a normal WordPress installation.

    Thanks for looking into this!

    Best regards,
    Sebastian

    Hi @sekra ,

    Thank you for using PublishPress.
Do you refer to the following notification? https://prnt.sc/kKf_hrUiAAD3
If not, could you take a screenshot of it so we can check if it is affected directly by PublishPress Capabilities or not.

    Thanks,

Thanks for using PublishPress. We’ve not heard from you in about 2 weeks so are closing this discussion for now. Please post back if this remains an issue.
