it tracks via cookie so the visitor would go to your affilate link and then navigate to wherever they want within your website and depending on your form will track them.
so they could go to several different woocomerce products for example and buy thhem all and it would track that.
if they leave the site and come back- because of that cookie it will resume that affiliate tracking (you can set the cookie expiry timer to however many days you want)
so the real question is: when you say the form is on another page- what form is that? is that form for example have a hidden field that pulls in cookie data
or if you are using the pro version are you using this addon: https://slicewp.com/products/custom-conversion/
the affiliate link essentially triggers the cookie with the affiliates number
after that it tracks them wherever they go
Hey @luiselias1,
Thank you for reaching out! The referral visit will be tracked, as the referrer is saved in the browser’s cookie, as @happysusan mentioned.
You can read more about this here: https://slicewp.com/docs/cookie-duration/
However, please note that we don’t support contact form plugins in our core free plugin. Only eCommerce plugins.
If you’re looking for referral lead collection, please contact us via the contact form on our website (here: https://slicewp.com/contact/), as this question can be considered pre-sale. On these forums we are allowed to answer only questions about our core free plugin.
Thank you and best wishes,

Hi, thanks for your answer, regarding the form, the coockie works no matter if the form is in another url different from the default affiliate url right (within the same website, not external)?
Hey @luiselias1,
Can you please offer more details about what you’re trying to set up? I’m afraid that I didn’t understand the question, so if you can provide more information I may be able to offer you a proper response.
Thank you and best wishes,
Mihai
Hi, I’m sorry, I wasn’t very specific with my question, I meant if the coockie theme solves the problem if the form I want users to register to is in example.com/contact and the default affiliate link is example.com/home.
Hey @luiselias1,
The cookie will remain active for the X amount of days you set in the plugin’s settings for the Cookie Duration option.
While the cookie is active, the referred visit is tracked. This means that a visitor can navigate all around your website and the referring affiliate’s information will remain in place. Even if the URL loses the “?aff=…” value, the value is stored by the browser and used when needed.
Thank you and best wishes,
Mihai
Thank you very much! Your information really clarified my doubt, as for detecting a submit is necessary this plugin https://slicewp.com/products/lead-commissions/ right, there is no way to do it in the free version or in the form of elementor.
Hey @luiselias1,
Happy I could help you with information!
Considering that this is a topic about our pro product, can you please open a support ticket through our website (here: https://slicewp.com/contact/#gf_3)?
