Default status pitch

    Is it possible to change the default status of a new post to pitch? It’s stuck on draft for me

    Hi @dv1961. Thanks for using PublishPress. This is a WordPress limitation – Draft should be the default.

    Thanks Steve, but surely if you can create new statuses, you can set one as default? So anyone who pitches a new idea has to do so as a draft? Or, I suppose, you something outside of Publishpress. Seems a bit of a pity, I’d like to keep everything within PP

    @dv1961 That’s correct. You would be breaking key WordPress functionality otherwise. More statuses can come after “Draft” in the workflow, but not before.

    I wonder what would happen if (I’d have to go pro to attempt this) I renamed ‘pitch’ as something else, and ‘draft’ as ‘pticth’. So then new posts would be created as pitches. Would that work?
