default:get doesn’t work for select fields

    I’m trying to implement a form that gets the default value for a select field from URL parameter. While it works well with a regular select field, when I put it in [md-select] shortcode, it doesn’t work at all.

    Am I doing something wrong or this functionality just isn’t implemented?

    Hi @lech-dutkiewicz,

    Are you sure your select field works when you remove the [md-select] shortcode from around it? I’ve just tried and for me it doesn’t work either way.

    The CF7 documentation on default:get also doesn’t mention that it works on select fields…

    Hi, thanks for your reply.

    I’m sure it works without the shortcode. I’ll pass a link to you, but please visit first http://www.project-travel.pl/?internal, so your visit won’t be recorded with Google Analytics. This link creates a cookie, so I can filter out your future visits in Analytics.

    The link with CF7 form I’m giving you is to one of my conversion pages and I don’t want to mess up the statistics.

    Here is a link with ?camp=Oxford passed and the first form field is native CF7 select with default:get.

    Hmm that’s strange then, I will have to figure out why it’s not working at all for me, then make sure it also works with my plugin.

    Ok, I figured out the reason it didn’t work for me was because default:get needs to go before the dropdown options.

    I’m now releasing v2.2.2 which should fix this issue.
