Defer listed JS

    Hello,

    I am trying to defer a specific JS scripts, for example “addtoany.min.js” and I add it like this to the field “Scripts to Defer” but it doesn’t do anything when I check pingdom before or after I apply it, could you please tell me if Im doing something wrong?

    I have Enable Async JavaScript thicked On and Async JavaScript Method set to “defer”

    when looking at the page source I don’t see Async JS being active, did you happen to turn it off fjura?

    Hi,

    sadly I had to turn it off as some of my widgets lost proper functionality. May I ask if its possible to set it up to only defer one specific script (or multiple scripts) and do nothing else? I would for example want to defer the floating buttons, so they load after everything else is loaded.

    yes, by enabling “defer”, and then excluding everything but the JS that adds the floating buttons.

    thank you for the fast reply. Should I do the exclusion via the “Plugin Exclusions” and “Theme Exclusions” or “Script Exclusion” ?

    I would use “plugin exclusion” and “theme exclusion” and only if anything remains deferred after that use “script exclusions”?
