Deferring JS & Minifying CSS & JS

    So I’m trying to reduce LCP and FID for Google core metrics, by minifying and combine the CSS and JS files of your site, optimize CSS delivery, and loading JS deferred. What plugins are compatible that load defer JS and do minifying of JS & CSS?

    Hi @itsgotime –

    We can’t advise on third-party plugins to minimize CSS and/or JavaScript files.

    For deferring JavaScript and helping with CSS loading, we recommend Jetpack Boost, which is made by our parent company (Automattic). You can read more about Jetpack Boost at:

    Jetpack Boost is designed to work with WP Super Cache, so you shouldn’t have issues using them together.

    Thanks, I will review Jetpack Boost. It is nice to just know speed plugins are compatible with one another, since there are so many and often they overlap or bug one another out!
