This plugin doesn’t do that, because it will not know what plugin uses which database tables. Similarly, it will not know what plugin uses what options_name.
Wondering how WordPress Advanced Database Cleaner detects ‘orphaned’ tables from plugins, is that different to the orphans in WP Sweep?

Hi @reelism,
This is my wonder too!
That’s why I opened this topic.
There are two ways in which I think the plugin does that.
1. It maintains its own database of which plugin uses which database name, option names.
2. It scans all the plugins and look for variables names that resemble option_name or database name.
For 2, it is going to be very inaccurate because of different people codes different.
It seems only the Pro version supports that. Maybe if you guys intending of buying it, should consider asking them how they do it =)

Hi @gamerz
Thank you for the answer.
But I’m able to delete databases which are not related to any plugin activated or not installed in the free version.
Have you ever tried this plugin?

That is easy, because the WordPress tables are fixed, so any tables not within the default WordPress list can be marked as “outside”.
The tricky part is to ensure that it is no longer in used.
Nope, I did not try the plugin.

I mean the databases of plugins not WordPress.
When you delete a plugin there maybe some tables left in your database.
This plugin detects them and says its coming from which plugin and says it’s status which can be deleted or not acivated.
The feature that I was looking in your plugin.
Regards.
