delete posts in category?

    how to delete posts in category?

    I imported my old blog and I want to get rid of the X category.

    I can’t find the solution in the admin panel… 🙁
    it says: “Deleting a category does not delete the posts in that category.”

    can I do it through phpmyadmin?

    Since WordPress really doesn’t allow you to delete all the posts in a specific category, look at Batch Categories in Plugins/Admin_Tools.

    That link no longer works and the plugin mentioned seems to be discontinued. ??

    Is there any way of deleting hundreds of posts in a specific category in one go, or the category itself without moving these posts to the default category?
