    hey Frank..

    first thanks for your awesome plugin, i have used it on multiple sites but right now i need to remove it from one of my other sites for testing on minimal / zero plugins. The issue is the second i do the header CSS is messed up and pushes text underneath. I have re-enabled it and disabled it and it is definitely the AO plugin as it is the only cache / minify plugin i have installed.

    What i need is revert instructions how to put all the changes that AO made when it was installed. I have unticked all options and deactivated with the same issue. Also removed the cache folder and it still has the same problem.

    Would appreciate some tips on what AO does so i can vert it under the hood.
    thanks again!
    Mark

    Hey again Frank…

    Forgot to add, when the AO plugin is enabled the ticking and un-ticking options all seem to have no negative effect except the “Optimize HTML Code”. When i disabled this one it breaks the header.

    thanks

    hey Mark;
    Afraid AO doesn’t change any of the original CSS/ JS, it only the replaces the references to the original CSS/ JS in the HTML with references to the optimized CSS/ JS (which if not in cache is created on the fly based on the CSS/ JS references found in the unoptimized HTML), also see the somewhat out-of-date blogpost at https://blog.futtta.be/2016/11/09/so-how-does-autoptimize-work-anyway/

    So if AO is disabled and you’re sure you don’t have any other (page) cache, then the problem is somewhere else. I’d be happy to have a (quick) look if you can provide a URL though.

    hope this clarifies,
    frank
