Deleted Import File

Hi, I imported around 16,000 products via a xls spreadsheet, and I deleted the sheet from the “Manage Imports” page.
I now have to update some of the info that was previously imported, so I tried uploading the sheet again, however it will not update anything. And if I select Create New Products, it will create new products, even though the products already exist. Is there any way to update the previously imported data? Also, where is my “Unique Identifier” saved? Is there any way to view it?
If I have to delete all the products in this category, what is the most efficient way to do it?

As long as you’re not importing new variations to existing variable products you can use Manual Record Matching to do this: http://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/recurring/manual-record-matching/.
(Edit: when possible, it’s best to keep your “New Items” import on the site and then continually update that import to update your products – see http://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/recurring/update-import.)
Also, where is my “Unique Identifier” saved? Is there any way to view it?
It’s normally saved in the database, but when you delete the import it will also delete all references to the Unique Identifier.
If I have to delete all the products in this category, what is the most efficient way to do it?
